RStudio: introduction

RStudio (or RStudio server) is developed by Posit. It emulates an RStudio instance on the platform.

Before using RStudio

RStudio runs on a single node. In order to manage the number of users, we ask you to request an access to the resource:

• First connect to the Resource request Web page.
• Ask for an access to the visualization nodes: Visu node (interq)

The access will be granted for 3 months (this duration will probably be extended when we have more experience).

Why and when using it?

Our solution is not meant for everyday use: we simply do not have the resources for it. Remember that all jobs will run on a single node, with 128 cores, and 512GB RAM.

As a consequence, small computation should be performed on your laptop.
